What is a ProfitFlow?

A ProfitFlow is any repeatable sequence of work that produces revenue or protects margin — sales follow-up, scheduling, billing, fulfillment, hiring. Most $1M–$10M businesses have 30–60 of them, and the owner is personally executing 8–15. Each extraction is one ProfitFlow moved from owner-dependent to system-dependent.

How is this different from a fractional COO?

A fractional COO runs the operation themselves — you trade an owner-dependency for a COO-dependency, and when they leave the institutional knowledge leaves with them. We document and delegate to your team and your tooling, so the asset stays inside the business. Most clients eventually hire an internal Integrator we trained alongside.

Do I need to hire to make this work?

Not necessarily for the first 3–6 ProfitFlows. Many extractions go to existing team members whose roles weren't fully utilized, to fractional contractors, or to AI-assisted workflows. Around ProfitFlow #6–8, most clients hire one operations coordinator — often less than the value of the hours already reclaimed.

What if my team resists the SOPs?

Accepted Answer

Resistance is a signal, not a problem. We co-write SOPs with the people doing the work, then run them for three cycles before we call them done. The SOPs that get adopted are the ones the team helped build. We've never had a six-month engagement where SOPs didn't stick.

Question 5

How is this priced vs. results?

Accepted Answer

$1,500/month, flat. The honest measure is owner hours reclaimed and ProfitFlows extracted. Most clients report 10–25 hours/week back by month six. If you're not seeing extraction velocity by month four, we have a hard conversation — usually about whether you're protecting the bottleneck more than removing it.

Can I stay on Tier I forever and add ProfitFlow later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many clients spend 6–18 months on Ownable Books before moving up. The ladder is permission, not pressure. We never push tier upgrades — the owner asks for them when the bottleneck of being the bottleneck gets louder than the comfort of being in control.

What if I'm already running EOS or another operating system?

Accepted Answer

OWNABLE is compatible with EOS, Scaling Up, and most operating systems. We don't replace your weekly L10 — we add a ProfitFlow extraction layer underneath that gives your scorecard real numbers and your Rocks real owners. Several of our clients run both.

When does it stop making sense to be on Tier II?

Two scenarios: (1) you've extracted enough flows that you're ready for full LTEM Advisory (Tier III) including capital and exit pathways, or (2) you've decided not to grow further and a closed-book bookkeeper is enough. We tell you which is true before you ask.
